Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language at IAPM

On the eve of the Day of Ukrainian Speech and Writing to the Academy, representatives of the All-Ukrainian Society "Prosvita" attended the meeting of the discussion club. Among the honored guests were:

  • head of "Prosvita", Ukrainian public figure, journalist and politician; poet, translator, screenwriter, honored worker of arts of Ukraine; editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Slovo Prosvity", member of the Union of Writers of Ukraine, winner of the State Prize of Ukraine, People's Deputy of Ukraine of the five convocations Pavlo Movchan;
  • academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, doctor of pedagogical sciences Georgi Filipchuk;
  • honored Artist of Ukraine Tetyana Negriy;
  • film director, screenwriter, laureate of the state award Dmitry Lomachuk;
  • Mykola Tsymbalyuk, Head of Information Department of "Prosvita";
  • photojournalist of the newspaper "Slovo Prosvity" Georgy Lukyanchuk;
  • the head of the NGO "Moloda Prosvita", bandura player, public figure, volunteer Vitaliy Moroz;
  • Oksana Voloshina, Head of the department of organizational mass work of "Prosvita".

The meeting of the discussion club opened the doctor of jurisprudence, professor, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of Ukraine, honored lawyer of Ukraine rector of IAPM Mykola Kurko.

Then Pavlo Movchan, the head of the ​​"Prosvita", turned to the audience. In his speech, he dwelt on the historical and contemporary aspects of the functioning of the Ukrainian language, the enormous significance of the native language for the full existence of any nation, and provided examples of how the linguistic question was solved during the state-building of other peoples. Pavel also acquainted the audience with the history of origin, the tasks that the Society "Prosvita" set 150 years ago and which solves now.

At the end of the speech, the head of "Prosvita" presented the Academy's publication of the Society.

Developed the opinion of the previous speaker, illustrating his speech by the eloquent historical facts, pedagogical aspects of the verbal education of the younger generation, Academician Georgy Filippovich.

At the end of the meeting, its participants were able to enjoy the masterful performance of Ukrainian folk and modern songs by bandyurist Vitaliy Moroz.
