IAPM students discussed candid topics with the national coach on family planning
On 22 March, the doctor and national trainer on family planning and contraception, Elena Ataulina, read an enlightening and preventive lecture on modern contraceptive methods at the Academy. The event was held on the initiative of the NGO "Women in Ukraine" and the information partnership of the "Tebe" magazine.
The lecture was attended by students of the Presidential University of the Academy and Economic and Legal College at IAPM.
In the beginning, Elena Ataulina gave listeners 3 important questions: "What do you know about contraception?", "Do you know which method of contraception is optimal for you?" and "How to use contraceptives correctly?". The national trainer on family planning and contraception told the students about the importance of contraceptive methods, the existing methods of protection, which of them will suit everyone and why, as well as the consequences of an interrupted sexual intercourse. Elena Ataulina also stressed the methods of emergency contraception and what you need to know when using them.
During the lecture, the doctor also provided statistics. In particular, Ataulina noted that 80% of freshmen are already living a sexual life, the birth rate of young mothers is 3-4% of the total, and the number of abortions at a young age around the world reaches 4000000!
According to the organizers, the goal of the lecture was to preserve the nation's reproductive potential. Therefore, at the end of the event Elena Ataulina noted:
