Students of Volodymyr the Great's Educational Institute of Law IAPM visited the Museum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

On November 22 and 23, 2017, students of the Vladimir Volodymyr Veliky Volyn Institute of Law and Law held a visit to the Museum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, a scientific, cultural and educational institution, which was located in the premises of the National Academy of Internal Affairs and is its structural unit.

In their own eyes, they had the opportunity to see interesting exhibits related to the disclosure of crimes by the employees of the internal affairs of Ukraine, as well as coverage of scientific advances in the field of criminalistics, which gathered for a long time.

The guide told the students that the grand opening of the museum took place on August 21, 2004. Almost from that day, museum exposition became widely used in the educational process.

Exhibits of the museum reflect the activity of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine from the time of Kievan Rus to the present. Documentary-material materials reveal the nature and peculiarities of the work of the Ukrainian law-enforcement system, its role in state-building processes, the protection of public order, and the fight against crime.

More than 20 thousand exhibits are collected in the museum's funds, which cover the formation and organization of central departmental bodies of the law-enforcement system of Ukraine at various stages of its existence: the General Secretariat of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Ukrainian People's Republic, the time of the Central Council, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ukrainian state Hetman Pavlo Skoropadsky, UNR of age Directories, Departments of Internal Affairs of the Ukrainian SSR and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The total area of ​​the twelve exposition halls is 650 square meters. m

The exposition contains photos, documents and personal belongings of well-known law enforcement officers; the most important legal acts concerning the creation, organization and operation of law enforcement agencies; Ministry of Interior decorations; samples of weapons and uniforms of various historical periods, etc.

Exhibited collection of cold and firearms seized from criminals, counterfeit money and documents, as well as tools by which they were made, materials of resonant criminal cases, material evidence, etc.

Thematic exhibitions of the museum are used in the educational process in the training of police officers - students and cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, other educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, students of higher educational institutions of the legal status. The museum is readily visited by students of lyceums and schools in Kyiv, veterans, law enforcement officers, representatives of public organizations, international delegations.
