Interregional Academy of Personnel Management

On April 27, 2018 the Khmelnytsky Institute hosted the XII All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "History, Culture and Education: Christian Dimension" (for the 1030th anniversary of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus) hosted by the Khmelnytsky Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Khmelnytsky Institute of IAPM.

The conference gathered more than 50 participants from different regions of Ukraine. In the joint work, the clergy, scholars-sourcesologists, ethnographers, experts in the history of Ukraine and the history of the Church, teachers, representatives of theological schools, clergy, teachers and students of Ukrainian universities took part:

Metropolitan Khmelnytsky and Anatoly Starokostiantynivsky, governor of the Khmelnytsky diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, candidate of theology;

Belyi Leonid Grigorovich, Director of the Khmelnytsky Institute of the Name of His Beatitude Volodymyr, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, PJSC "Higher Educational Institution" Interregional Academy of Personnel Management ", candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor;

The participants and guests of the scholarly meeting in their reports confirmed the fact that the Orthodox Church was and remains the consolidating power of the Ukrainian people, a force that at all times contributed to the establishment of high morals and spiritual values ​​in society.

The participants of the scholarly meeting separately considered the causes, course and consequences of the Baptism of Kievan Rus. The Influence of Christianity on the Development and Formation of Ukrainian Culture and Education.

It was also noted that the cooperation between the Church and the higher school establishes a constructive dialogue on the pastoral care of young people, as well as establishes partnerships with the leaders of education, science and culture, public organizations, which broadens the positive influence of Orthodoxy on various spheres of human activity and society in general, inducing people to change their lives and try to follow the path of Christ.

Thanks to God for communication and fruitful cooperation, the organizers, participants and guests of the conference decided and in the future to make efforts to further explore the spiritual and cultural heritage of the region, confirmation of Orthodox spirituality in society and the integration of Christian values ​​in education.

The participants of the conference expressed their sincere gratitude to the Head of the Khmelnytsky Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church - the Most Reverend Metropolitan Khmelnytsky and Starokonstantinovsky Anthony for their blessing, participation in the scholarly gathering and assistance in its conduct.
