The Khmelnytsky Institute honored the memory of Heavenly Hundred Heroes

On February 20, honoring the memory of the Heroes of Heavenly Hundred took place at the Khmelnitsky Institute of IAPM. For all those present, a short film about the Revolution of Dignity was shown. Revered memory the fallen Heroes with a minute of silence. Father Andrei prayed for the fallen Heroes of Heavenly Hundred.

Recall that this day was included in the calendar of special dates by Decree of the President of Ukraine dated February 11, 2015 № 69/2015 “On honoring the feat of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity and perpetuation of the memory of the Heroes of Heavenly Hundred”.

It was on these days six years ago during the Revolution of Dignity that the confrontation between the Ukrainian people and the then power reached apogee.

February 20, 2014 killed the most activists Euromaidan. The revolutionary events of the winter of 2013-2014 claimed the lives of more than a hundred Maidan activists.

The next day, February 21, 2014, the official authorities of Ukraine legally recognized as victims of the dead rallies of the Maidan. On the same day, a farewell took place on the Maidan with the dead rebels, who were called “Heavenly Hundred” in mourning speeches, and during the farewell with the dead, the mourning song “Pline kacha...” was heard, which became the Ukrainian folk requiem.

The closing speech was made by the director of the Khmelnitsky Institute of IAPM Leonid Hryhorovych Bilyy, who noted the great feat of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity.
