An event for the preservation of a traditional family took place in Poltava
On November 25, 2017, a round table entitled "Preservation of Traditional Family Values in Modern Conditions" was held at the Poltava Center for Distance Learning at IAPM. Philosophers, scholars and teachers, priests of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (KP), the Ukrainian Roman Catholic Church, and public figures from the "National Corps" gathered in the format of the round table.
Io Director of the Poltava Center for Distance Learning MAUP Gorgota Olesya Bogdanovna congratulated the participants and noted that this event is one of the first in the cycle of discussion about the Ukrainian family and its fundamental values.
The head of the "National Corps" headquarters Victor Trofimenko noted that this round table is not a political action, but a public event, which has an important social significance.
Participants commemorated Holodomor victims a minute's silence. Then proceed directly to the performances.
Candidate of philosophical sciences, the ideologist of Ukrainian nationalism, Eduard Yurchenko in his speech noted:
- The family is holy! There is a norm, and there are deviations from the norm. Norma is a traditional family consisting of men and women. Homosexuality is a disease!
He noted that Ukraine has always been and remains the shield of Christian Europe.
- But now the countries of Western civilization are trying to impose a gender ideology on us, propagandize the concept of "gay pride". However, homosexuality is nothing more than a global threat to the Ukrainian family and Ukrainian society.
The priest of the UGCC father Yuri noted that homosexuality is being treated:
- Proponents of this movement are people who need help. They shout so loudly on their marches about their rights, because they doubt their normality in the depths of the soul. We must work out the right attitude to people with deviant behavior and save them.
The priests of the URCC and the UOC-KP noted that the family is the best that can be in the world. From it, in fact, the existence of humanity depends. There will be no normal family - there will be a continuation of the genus.
The Ukrainian publisher, philosopher and scientist Igor Zagrebelnyi expressed his opinion on the problem of the preservation of a traditional family:
- Today they are trying to completely destroy the institution of the family. The focus of the LGBT movement is a gender theory, denying the natural person and the existence of a family, which includes a man and a woman. LGBT is a component of the left-liberal movement, which has totalitarian ambitions and leads to dictatorship, because it denies the existence of opposing thoughts. On the one hand, Western liberalism proclaims freedom of thought, on the other hand, it is strictly to identify the positions that contradict them.
The round table on such an actual topic turned out to be very informative. In order to have a strong state, a strong nation and a prosperous country, we must go our own, alternatively, without accepting the destructive trends of global development. We must preserve a strong Ukrainian family with traditional Christian values that are fundamental to Ukrainian society.
