08 July 2019 11:42

On July 5, 2019, on the eve of the anniversary of the death of a political and public figure, a co-founder of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group, a writer, a dissident, a fighter for independence of Ukraine Levko Lukyanenko, students of the academy Radmila Cherednichenko and Sergiy Ikonnikov honored the memory of the Hero of Ukraine by laying flowers to his grave at Baykovy cemetery.

Levko Lukyanenko has repeatedly addressed the faculty and student communities of IAPM. The last such meeting took place on October 11, 2017, in the conference hall of the academy, when the author of the "Declaration of Independence of Ukraine" represented the collection of his works "The Way to Revival" in 13 volumes.

Communicating with students, Levko Lukyanenko said that all his books were written about love for Ukraine and the struggle for Ukraine.

Students had the opportunity to ask the writer a question and get his opinion about the situation in the country and the way out of the crisis.

Levko Lukyanenko called on young people to be active:

- If we want life to change, then we have to be active. Our problem is that the older generation is brought up in slavery. A citizen will never sell his vote in elections, because he feels responsible for his state.

Words written by Levko Lukyanenko during the meeting, it sounds very relevant today!
