Distinguished Iranian guests visited IAPM
The other day, students from the Islamic Republic of Iran studying in Ukraine met at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management with Director of National Television and Radio of Iran Mr. Seyed Ezatollah Zarghami, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ukraine Mr. Akbar Ghasemi Ali Abadi, as well as Scientific Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Belarus’ and Ukraine Dr. Ali Bakouie.
The distinguished guests were welcomed by acting Chancellor, First Provost of the IAPM Volodymyr Yarovoy, Secretary of the IAPM Supervisory Board Vasyl’ Korotkin and Provost for International Relations-Director General of the IAPM International Open University Ihor Pilayev.
Iran is by right one of the acknowledged leaders of the Muslim world due to its many-thousand-year history, outstanding achievements in building a strong, spiritual state, and attaining sustainable development of Iran. Ukraine and the Islamic Republic of Iran have effectively cooperated over twenty years not only in the economic, political, socio-cultural spheres but also in the educational area. In particular, the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, as the largest private economic and managerial tertiary institution of Ukraine, has long-term and fruitful ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Provost for International Relations Ihor Pilayev noted in his welcome address: „Since the first admission of Iranian students in 2001, that is over ten academic years, 1,262 students from the Islamic Republic of Iran have studied at the International Preparatory Institute and afterwards under Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. Today, 17 Iranian students are studying under Bachelor’s programs in such specialties as philology, political science, sociology, international relations, international commercial law etc.” The Academy plans to further develop bilateral relations with Iran, because this is a priority area in development of the IAPM’s international relations.
Ihor Pilayev wished peace, happiness and prosperity to the Islamic Republic of Iran and the entire Iranian nation in the persons of the highly esteemed guests.
As is known, the IAPM diplomas were recently officially recognized in Iran. Stressing the importance of this step, IAPM First Provost Volodymyr Yarovoy noted during the meeting: „The recognition of the IAPM diplomas in Iran will not only strengthen cooperation between the Iranian students and our educational establishment but also enable to hold larger-scale scientific activities, conferences with your scientists and academics. I believe that our collaboration must now become more seminal and concerted, therefore, we are glad that Iranian students from educational institutions of all parts of Kyiv have gathered just at the Academy on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year.”
Having met at the beginning of the new academic year with their young fellow nationals receiving education in Ukraine, the representatives of the Iranian diplomatic corps addressed the student community and wished them good-speed in their studies. The guests emphasized the importance of education and the need for certificated specialists for Iran’s development. In the course of the sitting, the students had an opportunity to get answers to their concerns, listen to national music and watch video materials dedicated to Iran.
