Does modern legal education corresponds to the needs of the market? Round Table at the IAPM's Danubian Branch

On the basis of the Department of Law of the Danube Branch of the PJSC "Higher Educational Institutions" MAUP ", on November 22, 2018, at 14:30, a discussion took place (round table) on the problems of implementing legal education education activities with higher educational institutions of the region and practicing lawyers. The event was attended by: Director of the Izmayil local center for the provision of free secondary legal aid Slavitska Z. Radilov, I.Y.M., Yankovskaya O.P., Head of the Center for the Provision of Administrative Services of the Izmail District State Administration Kuzmenko IV, teacher of the Izmail Technical College of Economics and Law Pashkovsky VI, Ph.D. in Psychology, Associate Professor Izmail Institute of Water Transport Kotlyar L. The head of the department of law, KYu.n Pereverzoy O. Ya., Presented the report of the Ministry of Justice on the analytical study "Knowledge and skills of graduates of law schools and institutions of higher education through the prism of compliance with the needs of the labor market".
During the discussion, the following issues were discussed:

Legislative framework for reforming legal education.
External components of professional training of a lawyer (institution of higher education, form of training, evaluation of the results of educational activities, the specifics of the educational program).
The field of knowledge that a legal entity specialist must possess and the extent to which the level of knowledge is satisfactory to employers.
The content of the practical skills that a lawyer must possess and what measures are being taken by employers in order to improve the necessary practical skills.
Does the employer's decision to recruit a specialist in the legal profession have experience of work, training, training or courses, etc.?
Particular attention was paid to the issues of practical training of future lawyers, new practice formats, case studies, training technologies, and the need to develop the personal qualities of the future lawyer. A modern student-lawyer, inspired by an interesting profession and material rewards, needs today meetings with successful lawyers in the profession, for him the important experience of practicing lawyers and the way to building a successful career.
