Khmelnytsky Institute of IAPM participated in the events held within the framework of the International Open Access Week

In the Khmelnitsky Institute of IAPM there is an active scientific work. In total, over the past 15 years, 67 collections of scientific works have been published, including the following series: Preservation of the national idea and national identity of the Ukrainian people in the context of tragic events of the XX-XXI centuries (11 issues), Ukrainian language and nation (9 issues), History, culture and Education: Christian Dimension (7 issues), Psychology of the XXI Century: Theoretical and Practical Researches (5 issues), Actual Issues of State Building and Human Rights Protection in Ukraine (5 issues), The Day of Unity of Ukraine: Historical and Political Studies (4 issues), etc. All collections of scientific works are available on the official site of the Institute for free access.

Also during this time, about three hundred scientific events (conferences, round tables, seminars, etc.) were held.

On October 26, 2017, the Khmelnytsky Oblast Universal Scientific Library hosted the event on the Day of Open Scientific Publications, which was attended by Director of Khmelnytskyi Economics and Law College IAPM Valentyna Aleksandrovna Parandy and teachers of the Institute. The scientific meeting was held in the format of the round table.

The meeting was attended by scientists from higher educational establishments, educational institutions and public organizations of Khmelnytsky.

In their reports, the scientists raised the following problems: software and technological solutions and technological support for the information resource "Scientific periodicals of the library of the OUNB" (N. Sinitsa, the chairman of the Academic Council of Khmelnitsky OUNB, HS Lisogor, head of the reading room of the humanitarian profile of Khmelnitsky UOG) ; scientific activity of universities; a profile of a scientist at the Google Academy (V. Parandy, Director of the Khmelnytsky Economics and Law College, IAPM, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor); provision of open access to scientific researches (I. Zapadenko, deputy director for scientific work of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve "Mezhibiz"), dissemination of plagiarism in scientific publications (Y. Mudra, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work of Khmelnytsky cooperative trade- Economic Institute, candidate of economic sciences, M. Boryslavskaya, associate professor of the Department of Civil Law of the Khmelnytsky University of Management and Law, PhD, Associate Professor); the use of scientific literature in open access; licensing reservations for readers (B. Krischuk, the Head of the scientific department of Khmelnytsky humanitarian pedagogical academy, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor), etc. Also discussed the system of the Citation Index - an instrument that evaluates the influence of a scientist or organization on world science, determines the quality of scientific research. Reviewed Ukrainian-language science-based bases. The library familiarized the participants with open databases of libraries of Ukraine and the possibilities of publishing their own publications there, reviewed the scientific periodicals.

As a result, the participants of the meeting noted that free, free public access to scientific information is an important component of scientific research in the modern world.
