The Interregional Academy of Personnel Management and Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan have signed a Letter of Cooperation, creating new opportunities for academic exchange, joint research, capacity building, and participation in international programmes.

IAPM and Al-Balqa Applied University Strengthen Academic Cooperation

The Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAPM), Ukraine, and Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU), the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, have taken a new step towards strengthening academic and institutional cooperation. Representatives of the two universities signed a Letter of Cooperation (LoC), establishing a framework for further interaction between the academic communities of Ukraine and Jordan.

The document provides opportunities to explore and develop joint initiatives in several important areas, including academic exchange, collaborative research, capacity building, and participation in international educational programmes, including Erasmus+.

For IAPM, the new partnership represents another step in expanding its international academic network and strengthening academic ties with higher education institutions in the Middle East.

The Letter of Cooperation Opens New Areas for Partnership

The signed Letter of Cooperation establishes a framework for further dialogue between IAPM and Al-Balqa Applied University. Its purpose is to create conditions for moving from institutional dialogue towards joint educational, research, and international initiatives.

One of the potential areas of cooperation is academic exchange, which can facilitate direct interaction between students, faculty members, and researchers from both universities. Such engagement provides opportunities to exchange professional experience, educational practices, and academic expertise.

Particular attention is also given to opportunities for collaborative research, capacity-building activities, and participation in international programmes.

The Letter of Cooperation was signed on behalf of Al-Balqa Applied University by its President, Professor Ahmad Fakhri Al-Ajlouni, and on behalf of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management by Vice-President Sergii Khrapatyi.

The agreement therefore provides a basis for further developing direct academic links between Ukraine and Jordan.

Strengthening Academic Cooperation between Ukraine and Jordan

The partnership with Al-Balqa Applied University expands the geographical scope of IAPM’s international activities and strengthens the Academy’s academic ties with universities in the Middle East.

For Ukrainian higher education institutions, partnerships of this kind create opportunities to exchange experience with international academic communities, explore new forms of educational cooperation, and participate in international projects.

At the same time, cooperation with a Jordanian university provides opportunities to share Ukrainian academic expertise and establish new professional connections between faculty members and researchers.

International cooperation is an important component of IAPM’s activities. The Academy continues to develop partnerships with higher education institutions abroad and create opportunities for academic exchange, joint research, and participation in international educational initiatives.

The new partnership with Al-Balqa Applied University complements these efforts and opens another avenue for IAPM’s engagement with higher education institutions in the Middle East.

New Opportunities for Students and Faculty Members

One of the important practical areas of future cooperation may be academic mobility for students and university staff.

For students, international partnerships provide opportunities to gain academic experience in a different educational environment, explore new approaches to learning, and develop international professional networks.

For faculty members and researchers, such cooperation can provide opportunities to exchange expertise, participate in joint academic activities, develop research contacts, and prepare new academic initiatives.

The cooperation between IAPM and Al-Balqa Applied University also has potential for capacity building. The exchange of experience between the two universities can contribute to the improvement of educational practices and the development of new approaches to professional development within their academic communities.

Joint Research and Participation in International Programmes

Research cooperation is another important component of the future partnership. IAPM and Al-Balqa Applied University may explore opportunities for joint research, academic exchange, participation in conferences, and the development of international projects.

Particular importance is attached to the potential for joint participation in Erasmus+ and other international educational initiatives. Such programmes can serve as practical tools for academic mobility, capacity building, and the development of long-term institutional connections.

For IAPM, participation in international programmes is part of the Academy’s broader engagement with the global higher education and research environment. Partnerships with foreign universities create additional opportunities for students, faculty members, and researchers to participate in international academic cooperation.

From Academic Dialogue to Practical Initiatives

The signing of the Letter of Cooperation marks an important stage in the development of the partnership between IAPM and Al-Balqa Applied University. At the same time, the long-term value of the agreement will depend on its practical implementation.

Future steps may include joint educational and research projects, academic exchanges, capacity-building activities, collaborative research, and participation in international programmes, including Erasmus+.

For IAPM, it is important that international cooperation creates meaningful opportunities for university communities. New partnerships are therefore viewed not simply as formal institutional agreements, but as instruments for advancing education, research, professional development, and academic interaction.

Cooperation with Al-Balqa Applied University strengthens IAPM’s international academic ties in the Middle East and opens new prospects for cooperation between Ukraine and Jordan.

The signing of the Letter of Cooperation provides a foundation for further academic partnership between IAPM and Al-Balqa Applied University — from knowledge and experience exchange to joint research, academic mobility, capacity building, and participation in international projects.
