On 24 March, IAPM students, which are studying a semester at the partner Academy of Social and Media Culture in Torun (Poland) in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, Anastasia Shpyha, Polina Andriychenko, Valeria Nitsevich (Educational and Research Institute of Psychology and Social Sciences), Valeriia Stashchenko (Prince Volodymyr the Great Educational and Research Institute of Law) attended a meeting with the President of Poland Andrzej Duda on the National Day of Remembrance of Poles who rescued Jews during the Nazi occupation.

The President of Poland warmly greeted the students and wished them success in their future studies. IAPM students also participated in the opening of a memorial plate with the names of Polish people who saved Jews in the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Star of the New Evangelisation and St John Paul II in Torun by the President of Poland Andrzej Duda.

'It is our great honour that among these people there were those who were not afraid. There were those who were fully recognising the existential threat - not only to themselves, but also to their loved ones. They were ready to come to the rescue and give their lives for their friends, for their neighbours, for decency and goodness, for human dignity,’ Andrzej Duda said in his speech.
