Book Exhibition «Civil Society and the Rule of Law»
A free public information exhibition titled “Civil Society and the Rule of Law” was presented in the reading hall of the IAPM Library as part of Civil Society Week.
The initiative takes place from September 15 to September 21, 2025, at the IAPM campus library in Kyiv and at the Academy’s regional institutes. Its primary goal is to promote and strengthen civil society development in Ukraine, encourage democratic governance, and foster greater civic engagement.
The publications displayed at the exhibition reflect the implementation of state policy aimed at supporting civil society, strengthening the rule of law, and enhancing systematic communication between society and public authorities. Particular attention is given to the protection of human rights, the development of strong and accountable institutions, and the advancement of participatory processes in public life.
Visitors of different age groups have the opportunity to explore key issues related to the interaction between civil society, the state, and the individual. The materials cover fundamental concepts, types and sources of human rights, current challenges in their protection, and pathways for improving legislation in line with democratic standards. The exhibition also highlights research on the conditions for the development of self-organization, civic participation, and the evolution of community initiatives in the context of Ukraine’s modern democratic transformation.
The featured literature is valuable for researchers, faculty members, university students, representatives of the local community, and anyone interested in contemporary processes of democratization, institutional development, and the strengthening of civil society in Ukraine. Through expanding access to knowledge and supporting lifelong learning, the initiative contributes to raising legal awareness and fostering active, responsible citizenship.
