«Lesya's readings - 2023» at the Khmelnytskyi
On February 22, 2023, the Khmelnytskyi Institute of IAPM held a competition of readers-declarators of Lesya Ukrainka's works (Lesya's Readings - 2023).
The purpose of the Competition is to popularize the works of Lesya Ukrainka; to identify and support creative personalities.
Children of different age categories (50 contestants) took part in the contest:
pupils of classes 5-11 (Krasyliv Lyceum, Khmelnytsky Specialized Secondary School No. 1, Serhiy Yefremov Educational Association No. 5 in Khmelnytsky, Khmelnytsky Lyceum No. 15 named after Oleksandr Spivachuk, Khmelnytsky School No. 24, Khmelnytsky Private Lyceum “My Horizons”).
The participants' performances were evaluated by a specially created jury consisting of writers, educators, and teachers. The jury selected the winners by open vote with a simple majority of votes.
Leonid Hryhorovych Bilyi, Director of the Khmelnytsky Institute of IAPM, delivered a welcoming speech, in which he noted the role of Lesya Ukrainka's creative heritage in the light of the present.
Congratulatory speeches were delivered by: Vitalii Tsezariovych Mikhalevskyi, romantic poet, public figure, chairman of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Association of the Taras Shevchenko Enlightenment Society, member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine. Associate Professor at Khmelnytsky National University; Kropyvnytska Hanna Omelianivna, poet, literary critic, member of the Khmelnytskyi City Literary Union “Podillia”.
During the contest, an exhibition “Through the Pages of Lesia Ukrainka's Life and Work” was held (organized by the Library and Information Department of the Khmelnytsky Institute of IAPM).
The winners were awarded diplomas and certificates from the administration of the Khmelnytsky Institute of IAPM.

2nd place - Varvara Sitchenko (5th class pupil of Khmelnytskyi Private Lyceum “My Horizons”)
2nd place - Bozhena Snisar (11th class pupil of the Khmelnytsky Private Lyceum “My Horizons”)
3rd place - Oleksandra Hula (8th class pupil of the Serhiy Yefremov Educational Association No. 5 in Khmelnytskyi)
3rd place - Maria Rogovska ( pupil of the 7th class of the Serhiy Yefremov Educational Association No. 5 in Khmelnytskyi)
3rd place - Eva Ostrovska (6th class pupil of Khmelnytskyi Private Lyceum “My Horizons”)
awarded with Diplomas:
