Everyone, regardless of their age, gender or profession, has the opportunity to receive informal/non-formal education. The learning outcomes obtained in this way can be re-credited to students in their formal studies at the institute.

Non-formal education is based on three principles: “learning by doing” - gaining knowledge through practical tasks; ‘learning to interact’ - often involving work in groups or teams; ‘learning to learn’ - analyzing one's own experience and forming new knowledge from it.

Non-formal education is education that is usually acquired through educational programs and does not involve the award of state-recognized educational qualifications by level of education, but may result in the award of professional and/or partial educational qualifications.

Non-formal education includes individual classes (certificate programs, trainings, short-term courses, summer schools under the guidance of coaches, tutors and other specialists, etc.)

Informal education (self-education) is education based on the self-organized acquisition of certain competencies by a person, in particular during everyday activities related to professional, social or other activities, family or leisure. Such learning activities are not necessarily purposeful and structured, but they contribute to the expansion of professional knowledge and skills and are one of the key competencies of a person.

Forms of informal education: one-time lectures, video tutorials, media consultations, communication in the family, with colleagues, reading specialized magazines, television, video, unplanned casual conversations.
