A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management
On 7 September 2023, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management.
Rostyslav Shchokin, President of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, met with Major General Volodymyr Koval, Deputy Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of IAPM in promoting the development of medical psychology and training specialists to work in this area, and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in this area. The subject of the memorandum is the cooperation of the parties to improve efficiency, further development of higher education, training of highly qualified personnel, taking into account the modern requirements of educational and scientific activities in the field of medical psychology.
It is assumed that cooperation in the field of medical psychology will be carried out between the Central Department of Military Education of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Educational and Research Institute of Psychology and Social Sciences of IAPM, the Department of Medical Psychology of the Institute of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences of IAPM will be aimed at:
- consolidation of scientific potential and acquisition of competences in the field of medical psychology;
- development of human resources for the state, in particular, the necessary specialists in medical psychology;
- participation in events of scientific and practical nature of the subjects of medical psychological services provision;
- training of medical psychologists in accordance with current global trends, standards and approaches.
In general, the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management has been conducting educational and research activities in the field of psychology since 2000. Today, this activity, in addition to the traditional direction of ‘General Psychology’, is extended to such areas as ‘Medical Psychology’ and ‘Clinical Psychology’.
During this time, IAPM has become one of the leaders of higher education institutions in Ukraine in training specialists and conducting research in the field of psychology. That is why the Central Department of Military Education of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has chosen IAPM as a partner in this area.
