The charity event ‘Give a Star to Children!’ was completed at the Odesa Institute of IAPM
A traditional charity event called ‘Give a Star to Children!’, which is held annually by the Student Scientific and Legal Club ‘FEMIDA’, has recently ended at the Odesa Institute of IAPM. This event lasts from September to St Nicholas Day and aims to help children who are left without parental care.
This year, the campaign collected essentials for 65 children from the City Specialised Children's Home No. 1 of Odesa City Council. Children aged from birth to 5 years, including those who lost their parents during the war, received clothes, books, colouring books, toys and sweets.
In addition, the funds raised by the students, over UAH 4000, were used to buy fruit, juices and medicines for the children. All the items and gifts were delivered to the children on the eve of St Nicholas Day. The students not only brought financial aid to the children, but also spent time with them, organised games and walks, and gave them a ‘Star of Hope’ for a better future.
This campaign is an important step in the education of students, as it helps to develop such traits as humanity, empathy, tolerance and love for children. Such qualities are extremely important for future professionals who are able not only to achieve their professional goals, but also understand the importance of supporting and helping those in need.
We thank everyone who joined this charity initiative for their compassion and support for children in difficult circumstances. Your good deeds make this world a better place!
Happy St Nicholas Day, may goodness and peace reign in our hearts and in our country!
Dreams come true when we help others make them come true!
