Freshman Convocation
On August 30, a holiday dedicated to freshmen was held at the Odessa Institute. In the morning, the institute courtyard was filled with joy. Music was playing, and the eyes of the freshmen joyfully glowed in anticipation of a special event in their lives.
The anthems of Ukraine and IAPM were played. Then the director of the institute, Candidate of Sciences in Public Administration, Professor Olena Fedorivna Karakasidi sincerely congratulated students and guests, parents of freshmen.
The chief of the department of the State Land Cadastre, the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in the Odessa region Mikhail Kuznetsov addressed the freshmen with a welcoming speech.
Also, the head of the department of general scientific, social and behavioral disciplines, doctor of pedagogical sciences, academician Rostislav Kostenko congratulated the students.
On behalf of the Student Council of the Freshmen Institute, the student of the IV year, the chairman of the Student Scientific Society, the deputy chairman of the student council, a member of the Youth Council at the Odessa Mayor Arseniy Gavrilyuk congratulated. After his greetings, he and the student of the fourth year of the specialty "Law" Anastasia Golovatyuk presented the students with the first year a symbolic student ticket, dedicating them to the students of the higher education institution.
For the participants of the festival, songs were sung by the senior teacher Vladimir Leontiyovych Marchenko and the student Violetta Shepeleva, verses, and kind words to those who are just beginning a new, student life.
Students, parents, teachers, and staff of the Institute gladly welcomed the Odessa anthem - a song from the opera "White Acacia" sung by Alla Mordvanyuk, dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the city of Odessa, which is celebrated on September 2.
The first-year students who were heard and satisfied went to the first class, where they were introduced to the requirements and welcomed in the audience as students of the esteemed university - IAPM. Teachers made a memorable photo.
