Representatives of IAPM at the Global Congress on Sustainable Development
On 17 June 2025, on the second day of the Global Congress on Sustainable Development in Higher Education (hereinafter referred to as GSD Congress 2025), organised by Times Higher Education and the Turkish Council of Higher Education, Vice President Mykhailo Goncharenko and Head of International Cooperation Andrii Bozhkov took part in the opening ceremony and thematic events dedicated to the role of universities in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
A number of important meetings with Congress participants took place during the Congress. In particular, IAPM representatives met with Hannah Peacock, Head of Impact Rankings at Times Higher Education. Ms. Peacock highly appreciated IAPM's achievements in implementing sustainable educational practices and progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The parties discussed further opportunities to strengthen the Academy's position in THE Impact Rankings.
Negotiations were also held with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President for Research and Entrepreneurship at the British University in Egypt, Professor Yehia Bahie-El-Din. During the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the preparation of a Memorandum of Cooperation, which will provide for the joint implementation of research projects, the development of academic mobility programmes between universities and the strengthening of the academic reputation of both institutions.
The participation of IAPM representatives in the GSD Congress 2025 events was an important step in expanding the Academy's international partnerships and integration into global educational initiatives for sustainable development.
