As part of the ongoing scientific and practical seminar "Ensuring the quality of education at the Khmelnytsky Institute of the IAPM", on April 18, 2024, a discussion took place on the professional development of scientific and pedagogical workers as an important component of ensuring the quality of education at the Khmelnytsky Institute of the IAPM. The moderator of the seminar was the deputy director, responsible for ensuring the quality of education, Valentyna Parandiy.
The purpose of the educational and practical seminar was to provide detailed explanations, recommendations and tools to scientific and pedagogical workers on the productive use of new professional development opportunities provided by the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management.
Therefore, Chulova Lyudmila Yuriivna, Director of the Department of Personnel and Labor Economics of PrJSC "Higher Education Institution "Interregional Academy of Personnel Management" (Kyiv), was invited to participate in the scientific and practical seminar, who explained to the participants of the seminar the requirements for staffing the educational process at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. Lyudmila Yuriivna emphasized compliance with the norms of current legislation and regulatory support of the IAPM. The Interregional Academy of Personnel Management has formed an effective system for ensuring the professional development of scientific and pedagogical employees.
Director of the Khmelnytsky Institute of the IAPM Leonid Grigorovich Bily drew attention to the fact that among the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Institute there are a large number of teachers-practitioners who combine teaching and practical professional activities, therefore it is necessary to create practical laboratories at the departments, which will provide an opportunity to exchange experience and improve the qualifications of theoretic teachers.
Professional development of scientific and pedagogical staff of institutions of professional pre-higher and higher education involves a continuous process of acquiring new and improving previously acquired professional and general competencies necessary for professional activity, involves constant self-education and other types and forms of professional growth and can be carried out through formal and informal education, internships, professional activities, etc. In particular, professional development can be considered obtaining the next degree of higher education (educational, educational-professional, educational-scientific, educational-creative, scientific), including in another specialty, specialization, advanced training, internship and/or self-education, performance of new or more complex professional duties, etc., which allows a scientific and pedagogical employee to maintain or improve the appropriate level of professional qualifications and continues throughout the entire period of his professional activity.
