All-Ukrainian training “Psychology in art and art in psychology: adaptation to difficult living and working conditions” was held at the Odesa Institute of IAPM
On March 15, 2023, the All-Ukrainian training “Psychology in Art and Art in Psychology: Adaptation to Difficult Living and Working Conditions” was held for the third time under martial law at the Odesa Institute of IAPM.
The training was conducted by Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of General Scientific, Social and Behavioral Disciplines Alla Nerubaska and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychology, Social Work and Inclusive Education of the Odesa Academy of Continuing Education of the Odesa Regional Council, Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology Olena Balbuza.
The participants were offered metaphorical maps, artworks for subjective associations and metaphors, from the point of view of their own lives. Everyone drew a “Life Circle”, noting their level of satisfaction with living conditions, work, money, health, friendships, love and recreation, and using symbolic images tried to find out ways to improve the situation in a particular area. Gordon Allport's thoughts on the interaction of psychology and art are considered. The psychological knowledge available in art is very important. Everyone saw positive aspects in artworks that help to overcome fear, problems, improve life, and reveal the inner self.
148 participants from Kyiv, Odesa and region, Kharkiv and region, Sumy, Dnipro, Lviv, Poltava, Kherson and region, Khmelnytskyi, Lutsk, Ternopil region receive an electronic Certificate of Advanced Training - 0.2 ECTS.
The grateful participants of the training expressed their desire to take part in a new similar training, which helps to stabilize the psychological state in the conditions of war.
