For the fourth time, the Odesa Institute of IAPM hosted a lecture-training “Psychology in Art and Art in Psychology: Art Therapy in Action”
On October 24, 2023, a lecture-training “Psychology in Art and Art in Psychology: Art Therapy in Action” was held for the fourth time at the Odesa Institute of IAPM as part of the “Program of Advanced Training of Scientific and Pedagogical Staff”.
The event was held with the aim of improving professional competence, self-knowledge and providing resources to participants under martial law through art therapy.
The trainers were teachers of the Odesa Institute of IAPM: Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of General Social and Behavioral Disciplines Alla Nerubasska; Senior Lecturer of the Department of General Social and Behavioral Disciplines Olena Balbuza.
In the first part, Olena Balbuza told what art therapy is in the practice of a psychologist, conducted a practice with the author's deck of metamorphic association cards “4 Elements”.
Alla Nerubasskaya demonstrated the possibilities of drawing and presented a master class on “Palm Energy - Healing Power” using neurographic crisis drawing.
The training was attended by more than 300 participants from Kharkiv, Lutsk, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Dnipro, Sumy, Khmelnytskyi, Odesa, Artsyz, Bila Tserkva, Poltava, Haisyn, Kryvyi Rih, Chernihiv, as well as employees of educational institutions from Horlivka, Sloviansk, Melitopol who had moved to the government-controlled territory.
The event was held at a very high level, and the participants received emotional support, competence development to improve their personal and professional resources, and expressed interest in and the need for such events.
At the end of the event, the participants received certificates certifying the completion of the training program (6 hours, 0.2 ECTS).
