IAPM Maintains Strong Position in Scopus Ranking 2026
At the end of April 2026, the results of the annual ranking of Ukrainian higher education institutions based on the indicators of the Scopus database were officially published.
Among private universities in Ukraine, the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAPM) continues to hold a leading position. Among public higher education institutions, the top position was taken by the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The Scopus ranking is based on the Hirsch index (h-index), a quantitative indicator that reflects both the number of scientific publications and their citation impact. This approach makes it possible to assess the influence of research output and to evaluate the academic activity of universities within the international research environment.
Compared to the previous year, IAPM has demonstrated positive dynamics: the Academy’s h-index increased from 48 to 52, indicating growth in both publication activity and the citation rate of its researchers’ scientific work.
The Scopus database, which covers more than 30,000 scientific sources across various disciplines, includes:
- articles published in peer-reviewed academic journals;
- conference proceedings;
- scholarly book publications.
The annual Scopus ranking serves as an important reference point for prospective students seeking high-quality higher education. It reflects the level of research performance of universities and helps identify institutions where relevant knowledge is generated and a strong research environment is actively developing.
