RESULTS OF THE “STEP TOWARDS DREAMS” PROJECT SUMMARIZED
A final press conference was held at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAPM) to mark the completion of the project “Programme for Enhancing Labour Market Competitiveness of Veterans and Their Family Members ‘Step Towards Success’”. The project was implemented by the Center for Support and Protection of Veterans, Persons with Disabilities and Internally Displaced Persons in cooperation with IAPM, with financial support from the Ukrainian Veterans Fund.
The initiative aimed to enhance the competitiveness of veterans and their family members in the labour market through training and professional adaptation. As part of the project, two training courses — “Web Design” and “Mediation” — were developed and delivered.
The event was attended by:
- Oleh Sevastianov, Head of the NGO “Center for Support and Protection of Veterans, Persons with Disabilities and Internally Displaced Persons”;
- Yevhen Kovalskyi, Head of the Public Council under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine;
- Serhii Khrapatyi, Vice President of IAPM;
- Yuliia Kuzmiska, Director of the Institute of Adult Education;
- Yuliia Kamenetska, Dean of the Faculty of Design;
- Olena Kovalova, lecturer at the Institute of Adult Education, Corresponding Member of the G.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, business trainer, consulting psychologist, psychodiagnostic specialist, mediator, and family psychotherapist;
- project participants and media representatives.
During the press conference, the project outcomes were presented, and participants shared their experiences of taking part in the training. The “Mediation” course attracted particular interest, highlighting the growing importance of acquiring additional qualifications in this field.
Representatives of the organization and IAPM also outlined future plans for the project’s development, including continued training opportunities for veterans and their families in “Mediation” and “Web Design”. They expressed their sincere gratitude to the Ukrainian Veterans Fund for its support during this challenging time for the country.
