Students of the Khmelnitsky Institute and College of IAPM honored the memory of Kruty Heroes
On January 29, the Khmelnitsky Institute hosted an event to honor the memory of Kruty Heroes. Students listened to a historical account of those fateful events and watched a documentary record of the events of the war with the bolsheviks in 1918.
In the memory of several nations is the story of 300 heroes who died while protecting their land from attackers. The ancient Greeks were 300 Spartans at Thermopylae, the Georgians - 300 Aragianites at the approaches to Tbilisi, and the Ukrainians - 300 Cossacks near Berestechko and 300 youth near Kruty.
In the battle near Kruty were students and students of Kiev, who in 1918 began to defend the independence of their Motherland.
The feat of Ukrainian youths under Kruty, who with their blood sprinkled holy land in the struggle for the will of Ukraine, will forever remain in history as a symbol of national honor...
They - students, cadets, schoolchildren - appeared in their patriotism above class interests and, when the need arose, gave their young lives without hesitation in the name of the will of their people.
In the history of the world, this battle is very small. It is not a model of martial art, but it is a symbol of the undying spirit of our nation.
The Abbot of the Temple of St. Equal Apostle Prince Vladimir, Father Andrew, together with the students, prayed for the peace of mind of all those who fell in the struggle for the will of the Ukrainian people and the independence of the Ukrainian state, as well as all together prayed for the Ukrainian army, which now protects the territorial integrity of our state in the Russo-Ukrainian war, for those who are in Russian captivity and those who have forcibly left their homes.
The memory of Heroes was honored with a moment of silence.
