Students of the Khmelnitsky Institute visited the cave of Atlantis, which is located in the national park "Podolsk Tovtry" in the Khmelnitsky region.
She has a three-story building. In the cave there are gypsum crystals that form white, yellow, pink, transparent in color and variously shaped flowers, stars and icicles. Rare species of bats are found in the cave, and the temperature is always +12.
Atlantis is a karst cave in Ukraine. It is located within the Kamenetz-Podolsky district of the Khmelnitsky region, near the village of Zavale. Geological monument of nature of national importance (since 1975).
Length 7500 m, area 3120 m². Opened in 1969. Subordinate to the Khmelnitsky Regional Council for Tourism and Excursions. The cave is located within the national natural park "Podolsk Tovtry".
The only cave within Podillia with a distinct three-story building. The lower (first) floor is represented by high and wide galleries, the second - cavities narrowed to 1-1.5 m, the third - two small passages 5 m high. At the intersection of the galleries of the first and second floors there are large halls (up to 12 m high).
On the walls, arches and the foot of the cave - widespread plaster forms of gypsum of different colors. There are fibrous crystals up to 1.5 m long. In the galleries of the main floor there is a thickness of a loose filler with a thickness of up to 6 m.
