Students and teachers of the Khmelnytskyi Institute of IAPM held a charity event “GIVE A CHILD A TALE”
The winter holidays are one of the most anticipated times of the year, when everyone, from kids to adults, expects miracles, attention and warmth. It is a time when people exchange gifts, greetings and good wishes. However, for those who are deprived of family warmth, these holidays may not be as joyful. That is why charitable initiatives are extremely important, as they bring a sense of celebration and love to those who need it most.
For many years now, students of the Khmelnytskyi Institute of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAPM) have been taking care of the children of the Podolianchik Social Rehabilitation Centre. This institution is home to children who, for various reasons, have been left without parental care. For them, student attention and care become a source of joy and hope.
Every year, during the Christmas holidays, students organise charity events to support the children of the centre.
Preparations for this process begin in advance: students raise funds, choose gifts, and prepare holiday programmes. In addition to material gifts, the children receive the most valuable thing - communication, attention and support.
Student initiative has several important aspects:
Support for children without families. It is important that children feel that they are cared for and that they are not alone in this world.
Developing empathy and social responsibility among students. Through charitable activities, young people learn to appreciate humanity, care for others and understand the importance of social assistance.
Forming long-term relationships. Thanks to ongoing cooperation with the centre, students and children stay in touch even after the holidays, which helps develop mutual trust and friendship.
During the festive events, students organise theatre performances, games and masterclasses. Such events are not only fun for children, but also an opportunity for them to feel part of a big family. Children take part in Christmas performances, make their own crafts, and sing carols together with the students. All this creates an atmosphere of a real holiday, where every child gets the opportunity to feel needed and important.
Charity is not only about material things, it is about creating an emotional connection and giving hope. Children without parental care need special attention and support. And it is thanks to such initiatives that they can feel the true joy of the holiday.
For students, participation in charity events is an opportunity to become part of a large process of change in the lives of those in need. They learn to empathise, help, show social responsibility and understand that even a small gesture can make a big difference.
Goodness always returns, especially when it is done sincerely. Students of the Khmelnytskyi Institute of IAPM show that the holidays are not only about gifts, but also about care, humanity and the desire to change the world for the better. Their initiative is a great example of how young people can contribute to society and help those in need. May every child feel warmth and joy, and may the good that the students do come back to them.
Dreams come true when there are those who help them come true!
