Students Visited an Exhibition Marking the 40th Anniversary of the Chоrnobyl Disaster
On May 1, 2026, students of IAPM visited the exhibition dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Chоrnobyl disaster – “Chornobyl. Shelter Object,” held at the Ukrainian House. The visit was organized with the support and active involvement of the university’s Еco-club.
The exhibition offered a profound and emotional immersion into one of the most tragic chapters in Ukraine’s history. Through documentary materials, visual installations, and eyewitness testimonies, students gained a deeper understanding of the scale of the technological disaster and its long-term consequences for the environment and human lives.
The exhibition not only informs but also encourages reflection on humanity’s responsibility toward nature and future generations. For the students, this visit became an important educational experience, combining historical memory with a modern interpretation of past events.
Chornobyl is not only a tragedy of the past, but also a reminder of the cost of human error and the strength of human courage. That is why preserving the memory of this disaster remains a shared responsibility for every generation.
