IAPM Ranked 233rd Globally and 1st in Ukraine in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026
The Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAPM) has reinforced its position as one of the leading universities in Ukraine and globally in the field of sustainable development by achieving 233rd place worldwide and 1st place among Ukrainian higher education institutions in the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 (formerly the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings). This result demonstrates a significant improvement compared to the previous year, when IAPM was ranked in the 601–800 band globally.
The Academy achieved particularly strong results across several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, IAPM ranked 26th in the world, placing it among the global leaders in promoting democratic institutions, the rule of law, and civic responsibility. In SDG 5: Gender Equality, the Academy achieved 28th place globally, reflecting the effectiveness of its policies on equal opportunities and the development of an inclusive educational environment. IAPM also recorded outstanding results in SDG 2: Zero Hunger (38th globally), SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth (42nd globally), and SDG 13: Climate Action (54th globally).
A key factor behind the Academy’s overall success was its significant advancement in SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, which represents a central component of the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings methodology. In this category, IAPM advanced from the 1001–1500 band to the 201–300 band globally. This achievement reflects the Academy’s systematic efforts to strengthen international cooperation, expand its global network of academic partnerships, actively participate in international organisations and initiatives, and implement joint educational, research, and social projects with universities and institutions worldwide.
THE Sustainability Impact Ratings is one of the leading global rankings in the field of sustainable development, assessing universities’ contributions to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In 2026, the ranking included 1,603 higher education institutions worldwide, making it one of the largest international instruments for evaluating the societal impact of universities.
These results confirm the effectiveness of IAPM’s commitment to sustainable development, international engagement, social responsibility, and academic excellence. Being ranked first among Ukrainian universities and among the top universities worldwide highlights the Academy’s meaningful contribution to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and its active role in shaping the future of higher education, research, and society.
