Representatives of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management participate in the Times Higher Education Europe Universities Summit 2026 in Milan
On 5 May 2026, one of the key international forums in higher education — the Times Higher Education Europe Universities Summit 2026 — officially commenced in Milan (Italy) under the theme “Unite to lead: Elevating Europe’s global role in higher education.” The summit will run until 7 May and brings together university leaders, leading scholars, policymakers, and industry representatives from across Europe.
The event is organised with the participation of the global analytical platform Times Higher Education and aims to shape a strategic vision for the development of universities in the context of global competition, digital transformation, and increasing demands for the quality of education and research. Key discussions focus on international reputation, inter-university collaboration, innovative educational models, and the evolving role of universities in the knowledge economy.
The Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAPM) is represented at the summit by:
— Iryna Kapelista, Director of the Centre for the Organisation of Scientific Research and Innovation in the Educational Process;
— Anastasiia Ternavska, Director of the Centre for Coordination of Scientific Publications and International Projects.
On the first day of the summit, held at Humanitas University, the Academy’s representatives participated in several key sessions, including:
- Global university collaboration in action: Co-creating education, research and innovation, which addressed contemporary models of international university cooperation;
- Where architecture becomes health strategy, focusing on interdisciplinary approaches linking architecture with modern healthcare strategies.
Particular attention throughout the summit is given to the development of international academic partnerships, the creation of innovation ecosystems, and strengthening universities’ competitiveness in the global higher education landscape.
Within the framework of the summit, a working meeting was held between the IAPM representatives and Phil Baty — Chief Global Affairs Officer at Times Higher Education. During the meeting, representatives of the Academy conveyed greetings from the President of the IAPM, who expressed gratitude for the high level of organization of the summit and emphasising its importance as a leading international platform that shapes global trends in university development and strengthens the global higher education ecosystem.
Participation of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management in the Times Higher Education Europe Universities Summit 2026 represents an important step in advancing the Academy’s international engagement, expanding its research networks, and strengthening its position within the European and global academic community.
