PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS CELEBRATED MENTAL HEALTH DAY AT THE KHMELNYTSKYI INSTITUTE OF IAPM
On 10 October 2023, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, 3rd year undergraduate psychology students held a ‘psychological minute’ for 1st year students majoring in Psychology and Finance. They told the students (theoretically, using practical elements) how to cope with stress and its consequences, to tune in emotionally to classes and to work productively.
At the present stage, mental health is a particularly relevant and important topic due to a number of social, technological and cultural changes.
Mental health is an important component of a person's overall health and affects their quality of life. Various methods can be used to maintain and improve mental health, including psychotherapy, meditation, physical activity, communication with loved ones, healthy lifestyle and many others.
Maintaining and supporting mental health today requires adapting to new challenges and introducing innovative approaches to psychological support and therapy. Understanding these aspects is key to ensuring the mental well-being of modern society.
The 3rd year full-time bachelor's degree psychology students are studying an optional course “Psychological Support of the Military: Technologies and Methods during the War”, which is taught by Tamara Rudolfivna Gumennikova, a practitioner, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Psychology. Thanks to the teacher, the students have mastered stress management techniques and are now teaching others.
