Khmelnitsky Institute held a scientific conference on the Day of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Citizens
On December 10, 2019, the II All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Actual Issues of the State and the Protection of Human Rights in Ukraine" (on the Day of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human and Citizen Rights) was held at the IAPM Khmelnytsky Institute.
Every year, events within the framework of the Law Week bring together a wide range of participants. The scientific event was attended by representatives of state and public institutions in the field of human rights protection: the Regional and local centers for the provision of free legal assistance, the department of authorized representatives of the Chairman for monitoring compliance with human rights in police activities, the Representative Office of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights in Khmelnitsky Region, Khmelnitsky City Center of Social Services for Family, Children and Youth, Public Organization “Podolsk Legal League”, Patrol Police Department in Khmelnitsky region, the Khmelnitsky city district branch of the State Institution “Probation Center” in the Khmelnitsky region, the first GIS department of the city of Khmelnitsky State Technical University in the Khmelnitsky region, representatives of educational institutions, lawyers, journalists, teachers, students and graduate students (Khmelnitsky Economics and Law College and the IAPM Institute, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Bogdan Khmelnitsky National Border Service, Taras Shevchenko Kiev University, National Aviation University, Khmelnitsky University of Management and Law named after L. Yuskov, National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine).
The conference began with the opening address of the Director of the Khmelnitsky Institute IAPM L.G. Bilyy, who in his welcoming remarks noted the importance of the institution of human and civil rights at the present stage. Rector of the Khmelnitsky Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education V.I. Ocheretyanko noted the relevance of human rights issues in the aspect of the state. Regional Coordinator of Public Relations of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights A.N. Oseredchuk focused on the importance of the National Preventive Mechanism. Regional representative of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights in the Khmelnitsky region A. N. Kizaev reported on the role of the institution of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights in the field of human rights.
Yatskova I.A., representative of the department of authorized representatives of the Chairperson for monitoring the observance of human rights in police activities, in her report drew attention to human dignity and human rights as the basis of the constitutional structure of the state.
Director of the Khmelnitsky City Center for Social Services for Family, Children and Youth M.M. Lyubetskaya in her speech drew attention to pressing issues of the implementation of social support for families (individuals) who are in difficult life circumstances, special attention is paid to issues of domestic violence in the report. Representatives of the Patrol Police Department in the Khmelnitsky Region took part in the conference - the inspector, senior lieutenant of the police G. Strembitskaya
In conclusion, the Director of the Khmelnitsky Institute IAPM L.G. Bilyy made a closing speech and thanked everyone for the fruitful work.
