29 February 2016 10:43

On March 25, in Aliev Ukrainian-Azerbaijan Institute a round table on the topic "Social practices in crisis situations" was held.

At the beginning of the meeting an introductory statement was made by Head of the Ukrainian department Vyacheslav Popov:

"The aim of our round table is an everyday problem in extreme conditions. Daily life in its historical and cultural aspect is the theme for the Ukrainian department. Today I ask you to formulate your own vision of everyday life, on the basis of their scientific preferences".

Vyacheslav Zhanovich spoke on "Daily life in 17-19 years of the twentieth century", referring to such themes: communication, service, education, library science. Popov gave examples of documentary memoirs of Kiev lawyers, newspapers and notes of the then youth.

His opinion on the concept of everyday life expressed Professor of sociology Yuri Surmin, noting that the study of everyday life, from the point of view of science, it is possible with three conditions: presence of categorical apparatus, formation of topics, creation of tools and methods for the study of the topic. Surmin stressed that pluralism tool will allow scientists to understand everyday life more.

"For qualitative research topics of everyday life should be allocated 4 semantic unit: desire to preserve the familiar world; human indifference; fitness and pointed idealization", - said the guest of the round table, a sociologist Vladislav Gorban.

During the discussion, the scientists also touched such topics:

1. Daily life during the war: the lessons of history;

2. Ideological shifts in mass consciousness;

3. The specifics of crisis management;

4. Features of social processes;

5. Organization of social assistance, voluntary movement;

6. Language transformation at the household level;

7. The psychological effects of social upheaval for the average population.

The roundtable was held in the context of the theme of research work of the Department of Ukrainian "The socio-cultural components of Ukrainian everyday life: Past and Present."
