02 November 2017 14:34

Mark Handler, vice president of the American Polygraph Association, spoke at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management with a report on modern technologies for working with polygraph. Hendler's impressions of the performance at the Academy can be found on the Association's website. Mark Handler spoke about the new American methods of working on the "lie detector", as well as on the methods of making tests with questions. He also introduced a new method of "I detection".

- This is a new "lie detector", not the one used before. It looks like a tablet with a camera, catches the movement of the pupils of the eyes and fixes the person's reaction to questions. On the screen, the person reads the questions and chooses the answer. And by the way she reads and how her pupils react, they determine whether a person is lying. This is a unique technology, - said Sergei Lysenko, director of the security department of IAPM.

A polygraph specialist is a specialist, deciphers the data after a person's examination on a polygraph ("lie detector"). The error in the work of an experienced polygraph examiner does not exceed 2%.

If the polygraph, or the "lie detector", was previously used only in the work of law enforcement agencies, now it is increasingly used when applying for work.

A polygraph specialist can become a person with a full higher education, in the priority - a psychological one, who has completed specialized courses. Such courses operate on the basis of IAPM. The training period is 1 month.
