Training for students of the Khmelnytsky Institute of the IAPM on basic psychosocial support
On November 7, 2024, 2nd and 3rd year students of the Khmelnytsky Institute of the IAPM took part in an event on basic psychosocial support. The organizer was Tetyana Strikhar, a volunteer in the Psychological Health and Psychosocial Support Department of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
The purpose of the meeting was to improve psychological well-being, reduce anxiety, and develop skills in interacting with others in the context of mutual support.
The event provided an opportunity to find inner balance, relax, and meet new people in a supportive atmosphere. Students took part in various creative activities that promote self-expression and create a safe space for communication.
Students performed creative tasks. They mastered breathing and relaxation exercises to reduce stress levels.
The event allowed students not only to gain experience in conducting creative exercises but also to better understand the importance of creating a safe space for people experiencing stress or other difficult emotional states. Such activities contribute to the development of empathy, communication skills, and the ability to adapt approaches to working with different groups of people.
Therefore, this event was a good opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of psychosocial support and its role in the process of restoring psychological well-being.
Thank you, Ms. Tetyana, for organizing the event!
