Roundtable on the 75th anniversary of Ukraine's liberation from Nazi invaders was held at Odessa Institute
On October 22, Odessa Institute held a roundtable discussion on the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Ukraine from Nazi invaders.
Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, Professor of ICA Larissa Dombrovskaya spoke about the Korsun-Shevchenko military-liberation operation and its historical significance in the liberation of Ukraine. I-III students analyzed the issues of occupation of Ukraine in the first days of war, heroic defense and liberation of Odessa, anti-fascist movement in Ukraine, heroic work in the rear. The Themis Club Chairman Margarita Mahonin made an interesting account of women's exploits during the Second World War.
Participants of the round table paid special attention to the person of Rodion Malinowski - military commander, marshal, twice Hero who led the liberation of Odessa on April 10, 1944. A moment of silence was remembered by the participants of the event for the victims of Ukraine. The event was attended by students of the 3rd century University. Olena Ropai, 73, read poems about Ukraine and the war. Tears were glistening in the students' eyes.
