The final meeting of the Academic Club "Debates" took place
During the meeting on 21 December 2023, the members of the Academic Club ‘Debates’ summed up the results of their work in 2023, welcomed new members of the Academic Club ‘Debates’, and discussed the preparation of the club's work plans for 2024.
In accordance with the club's mission, its members held a debate on the topic: ‘Intercultural Dialogue of the Black Sea Region’. On 11 December 2023, the Academy hosted a presentation of the book ‘Light of Reason and Wisdom’. This book is a collection of scientific papers on topical issues related to the study of the Ukrainian-Turkic common cultural heritage. The collection deals with problematic issues of history, philosophy, geography, language, culture, international relations of the Ukrainian and Turkic peoples in the civilisational dimension. The research of Ukrainian, Turkish, and Crimean Tatar written sources, archaeological monuments and historiography makes it possible to objectively cover the development and assessment of historical events.
The event was attended by students of the Department of International Relations, who took an active part in discussing the issues of the Ukrainian-Turkish common cultural heritage with the authors of the book. Each of the students present also received a copy of the book signed by the authors. After reading the book, the members of the Academic Club ‘Debates’ decided to devote a separate meeting of the club to discussing their views on the issues of intercultural dialogue on the example of the Ukrainian-Turkish common cultural heritage, which is described in detail in the book ‘Light of Reason and Wisdom’.
