Legal counseling is being processed in the Danubian branch
In the Danubian branch, classes on the special course "Legal Interviewing and Counseling" are taking place interestingly (by V. Shcikina).
Second-year students conducted a role-playing game with the participation of the first-year psychology students to establish psychological contact with the client. The purpose of the game is to try to establish a psychological contact using a variety of techniques: non-committal engagement, open-ended neutral questions, silence, ways of expressing your own interest in a case, keeping records during an interview, etc.
Students are divided into two groups, each one had a client and a lawyer. The client came to a lawyer to find out the answer to an exciting question.
Observers had the task: to assess whether the lawyer was able to establish contact with the client, whether he used verbal and non-verbal means of encouragement, or all factual information he had clarified.
In the end, the students discuss the work done, draw the appropriate conclusions that will be useful in future practical work.
