On December 4, 2025, the Deputy Governor of the Khmelnytskyi Region, Vladyslav Faliush, held a meeting with the heads of student and youth councils from higher education institutions across the region. Among the participants were Vladyslav Kisilevych, Head of the Student Council of the IAPM Khmelnytskyi Institute, and Sofiia Vasylyshyna, Head of the Student Council of the IAPM Khmelnytskyi College.

During wartime, maintaining continuous dialogue with young people is especially important, as students are the future professionals who will contribute to the development of the Khmelnytskyi region. Youth and student councils work directly with young people, which makes their perspective particularly valuable for planning decisions at the regional level.

The purpose of the meeting was to establish connections with representatives of student self-government, identify key challenges and needs faced by students, and explore opportunities for further cooperation. This new format of interaction will allow student councils and the Youth Council under the Regional Military Administration to work in a unified direction and effectively coordinate joint initiatives. The official emphasized that this meeting was not a one-time event but the beginning of systematic cooperation that will continue to develop in the future.

The outcomes of the meeting will be used in shaping the regional youth policy for 2026, defining priorities, and developing mechanisms to involve student councils in regional initiatives, including volunteer, educational, social, and reconstruction-related projects.

As part of the meeting, an interactive discussion titled “Map of Student Needs in the Khmelnytskyi Region” was held. Vladyslav Kisilevych, Head of the Student Council of the Institute, and Sofiia Vasylyshyna, Head of the Student Council of the College, presented three key challenges and three opportunities for student development within their institutions. These insights will help create modern and impactful projects aimed at supporting young people.
