Meeting at the Museum of Soldiers' Glory
On the eve of the great Victory Day over the fascist invaders, students and teachers of the Severodonetsk Institute MAUP became guests of the Museum of Soldiers' Glory, located in the Center for Tourism, Children's and Youth Creativity of Severodonetsk. Together with the senior pupils of the sponsored school No. 6, the Mārupovs inspected the stands dedicated to the heroic past of their native land, fellow countrymen who participated in the Second World War, as well as exhibits found during the exploratory expeditions on the territory of the Luhansk region. Special interest among students and schoolchildren was caused by samples of weapons, personal belongings, letters of soldiers, carefully preserved by the staff of the Museum. No less interesting was the story of the partisan movement in the Lugansk region during its occupation, the heroic exploits of its liberators.
At the end of the meeting, the guide-head of the Museum V. Kislyakov urged young people to remember and study the history of their native country, to be proud of its heroic past, and not to shield themselves from historical truth.
Maupovtsy thanked Viktor Germanovich for an interesting meeting and story, expressed a desire to continue communication and cooperation.
