Pre-university training with language learning

Information for applicants wishing to take pre-university training and learn the language.

Pre-university training (preparatory faculty):

The Institute of International Education provides pre-tertiary training in the following areas:

  • Economics;
  • Humanitarian sciences;
  • Engineering sciences;
  • Medicine and biology.

While studying at the Preparatory Faculty, foreign students learn Ukrainian or other language (by choice), as well as study the following disciplines depending on the chosen area: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, economics, geography, history and others.

Studies last one academic year or one and a half academic years according to the curriculum and depending on the time of arrival and the formation of groups.

Admission to the Academy for pre-university training includes the following steps:

1. Obtainment of an Invitation to study in Ukraine.

To receive an Invitation, an applicant contacts the administration of the Institute of International Education in person or through a representative (counterparty company) at the address: [email protected], passes an online interview, submits a copy of the first page of the passport and a copy of the document on previous education with grades for the studied disciplines translated into Ukrainian or English. Moreover, consent to the processing of personal data and the power of attorney to receive invitation filled in by the applicant personally is attached to the package of documents. After revision of the documents, the Academy issues an Invitation to study, which is framed in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

2. Procurement of a visa for studies in Ukraine at the Embassy of Ukraine in the country of residence of the applicant.

3. Entry into Ukraine to study at the Academy.

4. Enrollment for studies of the applicant.

To be enrolled in the Academy, a foreign applicant submits the following documents:

a) an application form (is drawn up at the Academy);

b) the original and a copy of the document on previous education with a supplement that contains information on his/her achievements in academic disciplines, translated into Ukrainian and legalized by the Embassy of Ukraine in the country of residence;

c) a copy of the passport document of a foreigner or the document certifying the identity of a stateless person translated into Ukrainian and notarized in Ukraine;

d) a valid medical insurance policy (is issued at the Academy);

e) 8 matte photo cards measuring 35 x 45 mm;

5. After enrollment, the student is issued a Temporary Residence Permit for the entire period of studies in Ukraine at the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
