Commemoration of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr
December 4, 2015 at the Holy Theotokos into the Temple of Memorial Museum of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr (Slobodan) came Fund confessor of Metropolitan Volodymyr Metropolitan Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky and Alexander Vishnevsky, Vicar of the Kyiv Metropolis archpriest with Martyshyn Dionysius, the head of Ukrainian Orthodoxy department of IAPM and Theology Professor of IPA, director of spiritual and educational center Apostles at IAPM.
Accompanied by staff of Foundation and Museum, Dionysius visited the exposition and shared his impressions in the book of honored visitors. In particular, the priest said that the Great Apostle Ukrainian of Orthodox Church Metropolitan Volodymyr at all ages for every Orthodox pastor is a real example of sacrifice, dedicated to God's mercy and care for people. Also Dionysius said that Metropolitan Volodymyr was not only the great shepherd of the Church of Christ, but also an outstanding theologian, social thinker and influential public figure.
During the meeting with the spiritual father of the memorial Fund of Metropolitan Volodymyr, Metropolitan Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky and Alexander Vishnevsky spoke about the development of constructive and fruitful cooperation of Ukrainian Orthodoxy and theology department at IAPM with Memory Foundation and Metropolitan Vladimir in commemoration of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr, taking into account the merits of the departed Metropolitan Volodymyr to modern theological science.
At the end of meeting, Metropolitan Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky and Alexander Vishnevsky gave jubilee pectoral cross with decorations to mark the 80th anniversary of the departed Metropolitan Vladimir. In turn, Dionysius Martyshyn presented new scientific and theological editions, including newly published textbook "Modern problems of Christian philosophy of history".
