"Dnepr-1" is not a division, it's the family for me" - Yuriy Bereza

Not so long ago People's Deputy of Ukraine Yuriy Bereza visited Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. Rector of IAPM Nikolai Kurko, Head of apparatus Anatoly Podolyaka, Director of the Institute of Law Victor Litvinenko, Director of the Ukrainian-Arab Institute of International Relations and Linguistics Mykola Golovko, teachers and students of the Academy came to take part in the meeting.

Yuriy Bereza is a Ukrainian military, the commander of the special purpose regiment "Dnepr-1", Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region, formed of volunteers.

At the meeting Yuriy told the audience about his military experience and political situation in Ukraine. He began the report with a story about what were the first organizational steps in formation of the volunteer regiment of special purpose and challenges he faced when creating groups. The military said that the most difficult in formation of the regiment "Dnepr-1" was acting with the legal framework.

"If we want to be slaves - we will. If we want to be free - we'll be free".

The commander told students about how to deal with the issue of military weapons of his regiment. An interesting story was the first combat experience, he noted that it was the liberation of the village of Sands for him. Yuriy Bereza said that he lost 17 men Ilovaisk, they were the best in the group. That "Ilovajskij pot" was the tragic page of modern history of the Ukrainian people by the number of lives lost. The military offered the audience to see the film "Ilovaysk. Knights of the Sky", which is dedicated to all the fallen heroes in Ilovaisk.

Many questions were asked by students and staff of the Academy. Among the most interesting were: question of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine in the ATO, the lowest power at the forefront of issues and the use of alcohol by fighters.

At the end of the meeting, Yuriy Bereza turned to the students:

"Today here are future political scientists, economists and diplomats. The future depends on you, dear students!".

Rector of IAPM Nikolai Kurko thanked for an interesting conversation and gave a guest the book published in IAPM.
