"Christ is baptized!" - "In the Jordan River"

"Christ is baptized!" - "In the Jordan River" - these words welcomed all Christians on the day of the Epiphany. Every year on January 19, all the faithful of the Orthodox world are immersed in an ice hole and crosses the water, which in this day is considered to be curative. By long tradition, and the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management are activities for the celebration of Epiphany.

This year's celebration at the chapel in honor of St. George gathered leaders, students, faculty and staff of the Academy. Prayer service was conducted by the director of the IAPM Holy Apostles spiritual and educational center archpriest Dionysius Martyshyn.

«Dear religious community! Today, the entire Orthodox world joyfully and triumphantly celebrates the Baptism of Our Lord and Savior - Jesus Christ. This enlightenment holiday when God comes in human life, takes the human nature shall be attached to the whole human being. It takes human weakness sins highlights, updates, frees man from slavery and give us the opportunity to live in the present being updated. Today we dedicate the water. And after the Lord blessed water gives us his grace he gives us clean, He gives us joy. Keep in mind that real Christianity - is when we thank God when we call upon God's grace in our lives and the Lord comes in every family. And today we pray to the Lord that he through the holy water drops gave us an upgrade, gave us the love that we feel the touch of God, that we feel God's support and inspiration of God "- said Dionysius Martyshin.

Everyone wishing have consecrated the water, according to the beliefs that it has the power to heal physical ailments and provide peace of mind.
