In IAPM was held the event to the 82-th anniversary of Holodomor

November 26 in Interregional Academy of Personnel Management activities to 82-th anniversary of the Holodomor took place. Remembering the victims of the Great Famine in Ukraine began near 16 Building, where stands a memorial sign «White Angel». This monument was one of the first, that were built in the independent Ukraine to commemorate the victims of the «terrible famine».

«Unfortunately tragedy entitled «Holodomor» went to Ukrainians, - started speech Rrector of scientific and educational work at IAPM Mykola Holovaty. - November to Ukraine is a month of huge tragedies. Last week of this month immortalized in history as the day of remembrance of victims of the Great famine. History knows many of famine-genocides. According to various calculations, there were 7 to 12 million victims. No other country has experienced such terrible famine as Ukraine».

After the speech Nicholai Fedorovich announced a minute of silence, and students laid flowers at the monument.

Further, in the cinema hall "Ukraine" the documentary "Great Famine" was shown. Film ws produced by 1+1 Studio and TSN, it was created by an editor and journalist Eduard Lozovoy with TSN chief director Paul Ovechkin. The film did not leave anyone indifferent. It was about Ukrainian people's tragedy - Holodomor in 1932-1933. It gathers footage of famine chronicles, which show that anguish and suffering of hungry people those days. Frank and penetrating were also interviews with witnesses of that terrible tragedy, survivors of those terrible events. Also in the film a number of facts about how people tolerate starvation and what happens to their bodies were given. Authors didn’t bypassed ribbons and threads of dispossession, collectivization and the traditional attitude of the Ukrainian people to the ground.
