Conference "Development of the system of quality assurance in higher education in Ukraine"
Deputy Head of the Department of Professional Education and Management of the Educational Institution of the IAPM Anatolіy Aleksiyovich Ligotskіy took part in the international conference "Development of the system of quality assurance in higher education in Ukraine", which took place from 11 to 12 June 2019. The organizers of the event are the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, National Agency for the Quality Assurance of Higher Education, Institute for Higher Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv National Trade and Economics University.
Participation in the event was attended by heads of higher education institutions, specialists in higher education quality assurance, heads of educational programs, experts in the field of higher education, teachers of English language training, and students.
During the conference, the presentation of the priorities of the national educational policy in the sphere of ensuring the quality of higher education was held. In particular, the emphasis was placed on the accreditation process. Higher education institutions should use accreditation to improve the quality assurance system for education and the quality of higher education in general. To this end, the members of the accreditation committee should meet with managers, teachers and students of a specific educational program to understand how consciously they are included in the organization of the educational process.
In addition, the best practices for ensuring the quality of higher education, the use of opportunities for internationalization, the study and introduction of English in the field of higher education and science were discussed. First, it was about creating such conditions that would allow regular influence on the quality of the education system through mutually beneficial bilateral relations between the student and the university. Second, about formation of the academic atmosphere of the partnership's mutually beneficial relations between the student community and the teaching staff through the participation of students and teachers in joint projects, practices, and training laboratories.
