Youth for a healthy lifestyle
On November 29, 2018, students of the Khmelnytsky Institute of IAPM took part in the action on the World AIDS Day organized by the Khmelnytsky regional department of the All-Ukrainian Network of People Living with HIV / AIDS Charitable Organization. This event took place at the Khmelnytsky City House of Culture, where young people talked about the threats of HIV / AIDS, demonstrated social videos and distributed thematic literature.
December 1 - Day to fight AIDS and solidarity with HIV-positive people. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), getting into the human body, destroys its immune system and leads to the emergence of AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome). As a result, the human body can no longer withstand any infections.
The HIV / AIDS epidemic is a serious problem for Ukraine, as it is one of the first places behind the spread of HIV in Europe, ahead of all countries of the world, except Africa, and ranked 6th in the world.
As of November 1, 2018, there are 2005 adults and 68 children registered in the Khmelnytsky Oblast AIDS Center.
