14 November 2019 15:31

November 14, teachers and students of IAPM Chernihiv Institute participated in the XIX Scientific-Practical Conference on "The Ukrainian language as a factor of national statehood", which was held in the premises of the Chernihiv Museum-Estate of Mykhaylo Kotsyubynsky. The event was held on the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, which was celebrated the day before.

Leading philologists, historians and art historians from the research and educational institutions of Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Nizhyn, as well as the heads of powerful Ukrainian publishing houses spoke at the representative scientific event.

The speakers repeatedly emphasized the exceptional and decisive role of the Ukrainian language in the formation of the modern nation and the preservation of its traditions and identity, especially in the conditions of aggression of Russia.

The report of Professor Zhytomyr National University, a researcher of antiquities of Victor Moisienko, devoted to the analysis of the Reims Gospel, which is stored in the bookshelves of the city of Reims (France), was relevant and indicative. This manuscript dates from the first half of the XI century and is a memorial of an ancient Russian Cyrillic-Glagolitic script. It was he who brought to France the daughter of Yaroslav the Wise Anne, and it was for many centuries sworn by the French kings to the throne. The Gospel reveals the mysteries of the formation and formation of the Ukrainian language, which began in ancient times.

The great interest of the audience was also caused by the reports devoted to Princess Olga and the coverage of her image in Ukrainian scientific and fiction.

The event did not leave the audience indifferent and passed at a high scientific and methodological level.
