Khmelnitsky Institute hosted the conference "Ukrainian Language and Nation: Prospects for Development in the Period of Globalization Processes"
On November 6, the Khmelnytsky Institute hosted the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Ukrainian Language and Nation: Prospects for Development in the Period of Globalization" to mark the 130th anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian writer, satirist and humorist Ostap Vishny (13.11.1889 - 28.09.1956).
At the scientific meeting language problems were raised:
civilizational and cultural development of Ukraine in the context of modern globalization processes;
Ukrainian language in the modern information space;
normative legal documents on language policy in Ukraine at the present stage;
state language policy in the field of education of Ukraine;
formation of the spiritual culture of personality through the mentality and language of the Ukrainian people;
2019 Ukrainian spelling: a modern vision;
language environment of student and student youth: challenges of the present;
Ostap Cherry is a Ukrainian writer and creator of a new genre - "smiles";
Ostap Cherry's sparkling humor and others.
The scientific event was attended by:
representatives of state and public institutions; scientists from different regions of Ukraine (Kamianets-Podilskyi, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Izmail, Krasyliv);
Lecturers and students of All-Ukrainian University of IAUP, Khmelnytsky College of Economics and Law and IAUP Institute, Kamianets-Podilsky National University named after Ivan Ogienko, Khmelnytsky College of Trade and Economics, Kyiv National University of Commerce and Economics, Kyiv National University of Economics and Law;
teachers and students of NGO №5 named after Sergiy Yefremov in Khmelnytskyi, NEC №10 in Khmelnytskyi, Krasylivskyy Secondary School "High School and Secondary School", Guards educational complex "Secondary School of General Education, gymnasium".
A scientific meeting began with a welcome speech by the Director of Khmelnitsky Economic and Law College of IAUP Valentina Parandi, which raised urgent problems: language as a constituent of state formation, the linguistic environment of the student and student language.
The following greetings were delivered by: Serdunych LA, Ukrainian poet, educator, folklorist, writer, journalist, screenwriter, public figure, radio host, member of NSPU, NSZhU, NSKU, ADGU, VET "Prosvita" them. TG Shevchenko; MF Shvets, Podilsky poet, member of the PTS «Congress of Literators of Ukraine» (2007). He is one of the co-founders of the regional branch of the MTC "Literature Congress of Ukraine". Lyubov Andreevna recited her own poetry about language.
The speakers were teachers and teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature, university graduates of higher education institutions and students of general secondary education institutions.
Students of the Sergiy Efremov NGO # 5 mentally and emotionally recited poetry about their mother tongue.
During the scientific session, book and illustrative exhibitions were held: "Where the mother tongue lives, the Ukrainian people live", "Cheerful mocker - the sincere soul of Ukraine" (Khmelnytsky Regional Universal Scientific Library); "Ukrainian Language - DNA of the Nation" (Library and Information Department of Khmelnitsky Institute of MAUP).
Prior to the beginning of the round table, the twelfth issue of the collection of scientific works “Ukrainian Language and Nation” was published. Each participant of the scientific event received a program and a collection of materials.
In conclusion, the director of Khmelnytsky Economic and Law College, MAUP, Parandi VO, made a final statement about the role of language in human life and thanked everyone for their fruitful work.
