The Academy held a roundtable "Ukrainian society: the contours of innovation"

March 15 in Aliev Ukrainian-Azerbaijan Institute of Social Sciences and Self-government at IAPM was held a round table on the theme "Ukrainian society: the contours of innovation".

The meeting was attended by students and teachers of the Institute, which performed interesting and relevant reports.

At the beginning of the meeting Professor of the Sociology Department Yuri Surmin notied:

"The theme of innovation in the Ukrainian society is extremely urgent, because our society has become accustomed to the traditional way, and doesn't want to change".

The first speaker was the student of the 4th course of Institute of Social Sciences and Self-government (ISSS) Alex Boltruchuk. Alex described the inhibition factors of innovations in Ukraine. Student believes that the main braking factors are: low effective demand for innovation, lack of incentives, and the unevenness of the break in the introduction of innovations. Second report was on "Current needs of Ukrainian society in the social sphere" presented by ISSS student Daria Bespalova. Her thesis was aimed to develop at the national level programs of youth development and introduction of a special information support. An interesting topic in his speech raised Eugene Titovich, ISSS undergraduate. Eugene made an accent on the use of local government resources in modern conditions. Eugene made the following proposals: saving of resources, decentralization, search for new types of resources and introduction of resource costs control.

Next questions were also discussed:

- The concept of innovation.

- Role of innovation in the creation of a successful society.

- Factors, which activate innovations in Ukraine

- Problems of innovations in Ukraine.

- Reforms and innovations in the Ukrainian society.

- Innovation management.

After each presentation a lot of interesting and important questions were discussed.

The roundtable was held in the context of the theme of research work of the department of Public Administration and Self-government: "Theoretical and methodological basis of state-administrative reforms in Ukraine."
